With another Top 5 finish on Saturday your Varsity Boys Cross Country team has earned a chance to compete at the GISA State Meet this Saturday.  Jake Holloway paced the team with a 20 minute 5K.  The crisp 50 degree temperature at race time helped all other runners improved their times by up to 3 minutes over previous meets.  The boys are looking forward to improving their times again this weekend in Augusta.

Region Week!  This Saturday the Varsity boys will run in the Region Meet at Augusta Prep at 10am.  Please wish them good luck when you see them this week.  The weather should be perfect and the times will be fast!  Top 10 finishers and the top 4 teams qualify for state next weekend.

JV – Our JV teams had a great season in 2016.  Maggie Brown earned medals for top 10 finishes in three different meets this year.  The boys improved their times week after week.  Last Thursday at Monsignor Donovan was the last meet of the year for our JV.  We have plans to build our program during the off season to be stronger next fall.

Varsity – We have no varsity girls this year but the boys team is one of the largest we’ve seen in years with 9 runners.  Led by Jake Holloway, the boys ran to a top 5 finish last Thursday at Monsignor Donovan in Athens.  They continue to improve their times weekly and will have a chance to earn a spot at State in the Region meet next Saturday, the 22nd at Augusta Prep.  Anyone placing in the top 10 earns the chance to compete at state on the 29th.

We will compete this Saturday the 17th at Trinity in Dublin GA. Click the link to read about the meet trinity-cc-invitaional-information-9-17-2016 with all the important information.  We will take a people mover if you need a ride.  We will leave promptly at 7am and will return around lunch-ish.

Our first meet is Saturday, 9.10.2016 at Augusta Prep. with over 30 schools participating.  Check back next week for results, photos and news.

It’s that time, time to get in shape.  We look forward to building on the success of last years teams this year.  You can view our schedule and more info over on the official XC page by clicking here – http://wp.me/P6yvpf-2b
