Greetings Gatewood family!

After last years highly successful “on campus” ACT administration, we are offering the service again!

The district/weekday testing is open to all 11th and 12th grade students here at Gatewood and will be on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. The test will start promptly at 8 a.m. As before, only Gatewood Schools’ students will be in the testing rooms. No outside students will be taking the test here with us. If you have a ninth or tenth grader who is interesting in taking the test, you can enroll them to take the test at another testing center through the ACT website at www.act.org.

Please let me know if your child will be participating in this testing session, so I can order the appropriate amount of materials. I have to have a final count to ACT and the GISA on Wednesday, August 23rd. After this date, no students will be able to sign up for the test during this session.

The cost of the test this year has gone up slightly. The new cost is $68.50 per student. Please make payment out to Gatewood Schools, so we can pay the invoice sent to us by GISA in one payment. Please have your student give their payment to their homeroom teacher, and they will get those funds to me. I’ll let you know via email once I have received your payment.

The same test will be given again on February 27, 2018. I am checking to see what grade levels will be eligible to test during this date, and will communicate that to you all when I find out.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you all,

Joe Tkacik, M. Ed.
