A few updates and adjustments that you need to be aware of:
Solar Eclipse – Monday, August 21st Noon Dismissal
A total solar eclipse that spans the entire US only happens once every ninety-nine years. Next Monday Gatewood will dismiss early so that the students can share this event safely with their family.
Preschool Morning Drop-off – Re-establishing assisted Drop-Off
Starting Tuesday, Aug. 15th, preschool will have a faculty member in the fenced in Preschool area for drop off. This should alleviate the traffic bottleneck from this morning.
Parent Nights – Mandatory one parent attendance
Preschool & Lower school parent meeting will be Tuesday, August 15th 6:00-7:00 pm in the Lower School Assembly Hall. One parent should be at this meeting. No child care provided.
Middle School & High School parent meeting will be Wednesday, August 16th 6:00-7:00 pm in the Lower School Assembly Hall. One parent should be at this meeting. No child care provided.
The Student Parent Handbook distributed at open house had two errors in it.
1) School starts at 8:00 for all students! MS/HS homeroom is from 8:00-8:10.
2) Old revision of this year’s school calendar on page 35 had incorrect Spring Break/Prom info. Please refer to the calendar on the website.
