Before the break, Mrs. Beth Griffith’s third-grade class took a field trip to GSCU in Milledgeville to watch the 21st Annual presentation of the Nutcracker Ballet. Over 200 dancers ages three and above in the GC Community Dance Program, Department of Theatre and Dance presented this annual holiday favorite. The GC award-winning cheerleaders were the acrobatic Russian dancers. Guest artists Jennifer Davis and Leland Thorpe of Atlanta City Gate Dance Theatre danced the roles of the sugar plum fairy and her cavalier. A new dragon delighted in the Chinese dance.
But our favorite performers were the ones from Gatewood! Our very own Sarah Reeves was one of the superstars and even took a few minutes to come visit with Mrs. Beth’s class and take a few photos after the performance. Below are a few photos from the trip.
