We only have space available for 15 more students to participate in the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Gulliver’s Travels.  Participation is open to any student K-12 grade.  Please reply to us by Monday, January 22, if you are interested.

An informational meeting will be held in February with those who have registered to discuss details of next steps including: volunteer needs, promotion and marketing plans, enrichment classes and more.

This is a very exciting opportunity and we look forward to expanding Gatewood’s Fine Arts offering through this program.

Lights, Camera, Action! Have you been dreaming of your child performing in a Musical? In front of a LIVE audience?  Or being cast as an Assistant Director to a Musical performance? Well, now is your chance to give your child the opportunity of a lifetime. GAP has been working diligently to schedule a wonderful opportunity for our Gatewood students. We are happy to announce that Missoula Children’s Theater, a week-long theater residency (www.mctinc.org) will be casting our students in their Spring performance of Gulliver’s Travel on April 28, 2018, at The Plaza Arts Center.

On Monday, April 23, 2018, the Missoula team of two professional actor/directors will arrive with a set, lights, costumes, props, scripts and make-up…..everything it takes to put on a play – except, the CAST.   They will begin with a Casting Call which will culminate in a public performance at the Plaza Arts Center on April 28, 2018. Fifty to sixty students, grades K-12 will be cast in the play and be well-rehearsed at Gatewood throughout the week, learning lines, songs and choreography to perform in a full-length musical. Additionally, some students(ages 10 and up only) will be cast as Assistant Directors.  The students will have a dress rehearsal on Friday, April 27, 2018, at The Plaza Art Center. All of the Missoula shows are original adaptations of children’s stories and fairytales . . . a twist on the classic stories that you know and love.
