This Saturday morning, March 3rd,  is Seuss on the Loose for the Ferst Foundation. It will be at Putnam Primary School. Mrs. Allen-Peters is rounding up Anchor Club members to help with the Gatewood Booth.  Volunteers need to be at the event by 9:15.

Putnam County’s Ferst Foundation has been providing books for the children of Putnam County for 15 years and currently has 700+ children enrolled. We work with local schools and organizations to register eligible children and then with your support, we will continue to raise the $36 per year or $3 per month for each child to provide our young readers with a foundation for success by covering the cost of books.

SOTL

One of our annual events is Putnam County Seuss on the Loose (SOL), a specialty fundraiser in conjunction with Read Across America, a nationwide, week-long event on the first Saturday in March which commemorates the birthday of beloved children’s author, Dr. Seuss. The event is held at Putnam County Primary School starting the day at 9:30AM with a morning Fun Run.  Then our indoor festival opens at 10:00AM until noon with over 20 Seuss-themed activities. The event includes a silent raffle, food available for purchase and The Cat and other characters that always create a great time for your whole family!

2018 Seuss of the Loose will be on March 3, 2018
and we are getting ready for a great day!

Anyone who wants to help out let Mrs. Allen-Peters know.
