For almost 10 years now, our 4th and 5th graders have created, filmed and produced our morning news show known as Gator News Network or GNN.  The show has evolved from a live broadcast into a recorded and edited show that is shot live in front of a green screen with an iPad.  The students record one segment at a time and then use an app to edit the clips, add backgrounds, and produce a high-quality video for the school to view from their classrooms.  The GNN show always includes a daily Bible verse and short devotional and is then followed by the news of the day.  In the video below you will see a weather report, sports updates, and featured students with birthdays this month.  Students sign up to be a news anchor or video production assistant and the roles are rotated on a regular basis.  By participating in GNN, our students are learning how to create, film and produce a short film in a hands-on environment, all with an iPad and an app.  Click here to view the News
