Business Manager The Business Office handles financial matters for the School and our staff is here to serve you. Student accounts are maintained as a service to School families, and monthly statements are not mailed to parents unless delinquent. Click here for answers to the most frequently asked questions FAQs about student accounts. Mrs. Dodson is available to answer any questions about billing policies or your specific account. Tuition Information To download the most recent schedule of charges, please go to Tuition & Fees under the Admissions menu. Financial Aid Gatewood is committed to an economically diverse student body. To assess a family’s need for financial assistance, Gatewood utilizes an independent agency called the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), which is overseen by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). SSS provides member schools with an objective methodology for calculating a family’s ability to contribute to educational expenses.  SSS does not make an award, but using the information provided by parents, suggests appropriate guidelines for the school to make an award based on a family’s particular situation and the school’s resources. Upon acceptance to Gatewood Schools, the process for filing for financial assistance is as follows: • Complete the online application at www.nais.org/financial/sss. You will need the school code in order to submit the form. Please call the Admissions or Business office for this code. SSS charges a filing fee of $22.00.  If you prefer to submit hard copy rather than filing online, Financial Assistance forms are available from the school’s Business Office. • Send a copy of the most recent W-2 and Form 1040 tax returns to the Business Office. • Awards will be made in a strictly confidential manner after all forms have been filed with SSS and the process as described above has been completed. Awards can be made only to those students who have applied and been accepted. • The Financial Assistance Committee reviews all requests for assistance and makes awards from available funding resources in an equitable manner, consistent with the mission and philosophy of Gatewood Schools. • New requests must be submitted annually as awards are made for one year only.
